Laura Cunningham: Laura attends the University of MD and will be
attending graduate school in the fall. She is a native cuer and fluent
signer. As a teen, she appeared on “All My Children.”

Sarah Segal: Sarah is currently a student at the University of MD.
Sarah is a staff writer for the NCSA newsletter, as well as a reporter
on the USA Deaf Media Team that will be traveling to Taipei, Taiwan,
for the 2009 Deaflympics.

Both Laura and Sarah grew up in the Cued Speech program in Montgomery
County Public Schools, MD, and have attended Cue Camp Virginia.

Public Transportation: Take the Metro Red line to Bethesda stop. When you come out the escalator, bear left onto Old Georgetown Road. Walk down Old Georgetown until you get to St. Elmo Avenue (about 4 blocks/lights). Turn right onto St. Elmo, and the pub will be on your left, past the parking garage.

Driving note: Parking in the downtown Bethesda garage is free on weekends (Garage is less than half a block from Union Jack’s).

Even if you’re rusty or never have cued before, come join us!  After a few hot appetizers and some cold drinks, you’ll be up to speed.  This month, we have some guests from India who have been working on introducing Cued Speech (Marathi) to some schools for the deaf.  They are very interested in meeting some of the Boston-area cuers.
